Frequently Asked Questions
We want to answer any questions you may have, from how to pronounce ‘JACEK’ to how we pick our beans. If you have a question that is not answered here, please email us at sales@jacekchocolate.com
How do you pronounce JACEK?
‘Jay-seck’
What is a Cocoanista?
Jacqueline Jacek is the world’s first Cocoanista; a fusion between a Fashionista & a Chocolatier. A Cocoanista applies the principles of haute couture in the creation of artisan chocolates. These principles include expression through shape & colour (and the additional dimension of flavour in chocolate), intricate construction, innovative technique and the use of the highest quality components to create truly exceptional works of art.
Are the cocoa beans ethically sourced?
Yes. JACEK Chocolate Couture only sources chocolate from the best chocolate makers around the world (Valrhona & Cacao Barry) who are committed to empowering cacao farmers to improve their incomes, who are active in supporting industry programs that aim at eradicating abusive child labor, and who have ecological sustainability in mind.
We are particularly proud of having our own Bean-to-Bar line where we ethically source cocoa beans directly from the farmers and make our own chocolate. Check out our latest video from our visit to the farms and fermentation centre in the Dominican Republic and see for yourself the joyful journey of how we make chocolate from the bean to the bar at JACEK.
Can JACEK Chocolate provide donations or non-profit pricing?
Donations
At JACEK Chocolate Couture, we are committed to supporting our community as best we can by way of chocolate donations. However, as a small business, we cannot support every request that we receive based on the volume of requests that we receive every week. Our focus for donations is on causes that help children. We will accept requests for donations by email only to general@jacekchocolate.com. Due to the high volume of requests, we will only respond to those charities that we are able to support. If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks, we were unable to make a donation to your charity at this time.
Non-Profit Pricing
JACEK Chocolate Couture is pleased to be able to offer preferential pricing on table favors for fundraising galas that will have 150 + guests. For more information on whether your event qualifies for the preferential pricing, please contact general@jacekchocolate.com.
Do you have a fundraising program?
Yes, we do offer a fundraising program. Please contact sales@jacekchocolate.com for more information. Here’s a link to the current fundraising brochure.

Do you offer vegan chocolate?
Yes, we do. Please have a look at our vegan chocolate product line in our Online Shop.
Are your products gluten, peanut & tree nut free?
We are making continuous effort of reducing the number of products that contain gluten. The majority of our products do not contain gluten in the recipe and our kitchen team takes great care of cleaning the working surfaces and tools after using allergens.
That being said, we are not a certified gluten-free facility and there may be a risk of cross-contamination.
These are the products that do have gluten in the recipe: The Marilyn, Biscuit & Chocolate Pearls.
The same applies to tree nuts. You will find them in The Audrey, The James, Dark Chocolate Almonds, Hazelnut Meltaways, Artisan Bar Library.
You will find peanuts in the PB&J truffle from our Spring Collection 2019.
