Frequently Asked Questions
We want to answer any questions you may have, from how to pronounce ‘JACEK’ to how we pick our beans. If you have a question that is not answered here, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Jacqueline Jacek is the world’s first Cocoanista; a fusion between a Fashionista & a Chocolatier. A Cocoanista applies the principles of haute couture in the creation of artisan chocolates. These principles include expression through shape & colour (and the additional dimension of flavour in chocolate), intricate construction, innovative technique and the use of the highest quality components to create truly exceptional works of art.
Yes. JACEK Chocolate Couture only sources chocolate from the best chocolate makers around the world (Valrhona & Cacao Barry) who are committed to empowering cacao farmers to improve their incomes, who are active in supporting industry programs that aim at eradicating abusive child labor, and who have ecological sustainability in mind.
We are particularly proud of having our own Bean-to-Bar Chocolate where we ethically source cocoa beans directly from the farmers and make our own chocolate. Check out our latest video from our visit to the farms and fermentation centre in the Dominican Republic and see for yourself the joyful journey of how we make chocolate from the bean to the bar at JACEK.

In-store pick up
Convenient in-store pickup (free) from our Sherwood Park store (406 Kaska Road).
Step 1: Upon checkout you will be able to choose from the available pick up dates and times.
Step 2: You’ll receive an Email from us that your order is ready. Once you receive the Email you are welcome to stop by to pick up your order any time during regular store hours regardless of the date and time slot you picked when you placed your order.
Contactless Local Delivery
Our delivery days are Mondays – Saturdays between 12pm and 5pm.
Our partner SwiftTime delivers your order for a flat-rate fee of $14 to addresses located in Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park (excluding postal codes starting with T8G).
Step 1: Upon checkout you can choose from the available delivery dates (up to 10 days in advance). We have a limited amount of delivery slots every. If a specific date is not available (greyed out in the calendar), that means that all slots are full. The delivery is contactless, so please leave a phone number that we can reach the recipient at in the delivery instructions.
Step 2: SwiftTime will deliver your parcel between 12pm and 3pm on your chosen date.
Note: SwiftTime wants to ensure contactless delivery. So unless otherwise instructed, the driver will ring the door bell and/or call/text the recipient once the parcel has been dropped off at the door. You are welcome to leave instructions for the driver (e.g. drop off on front porch or in parcel box etc.) in the “Delivery instructions” section on the checkout page.
Our shipping days are Mondays – Thursdays.
We are giving you access to our discounted business rates and we do not charge any handling fee. The shipping rate is dependent on the shipping destination and the delivery speed (you have the choice between Standard, Express, and Overnight shipping services).
Enjoy free standard shipping your purchase of $125 or more (excl. destinations in NT, YT, NU, NL, PE, NS, NB).
By completing your order you acknowledge that once a package leaves our facility in Sherwood Park, we take no responsibility for any package delays as we have no control on potential delivery issues, including the chocolates being heat damaged. COVID-19: FedEx and Canada Post are doing their best to continue operating as government restrictions and regulations allow, but they have temporarily suspended their money-back guarantee for late deliveries until further notice.
WONDERING WHAT OUR SHIPPING BOXES LOOK LIKE?
We sent some treats to our friends from Unbelts, here’s a little snippet of their experience:
Yes, we do. Please have a look at our vegan chocolate product line in our Online Shop.
We are making continuous effort of reducing the number of products that contain gluten. The majority of our products do not contain gluten in the recipe and our kitchen team takes great care of cleaning the working surfaces and tools after using allergens.
We currently only carry one product that has gluten in the recipe: Biscuit & Chocolate Pearls. That being said, we are not a certified gluten-free facility and there may be a risk of cross-contamination.
The same applies to tree nuts. Please click on the “Nutritional Info” panel on the product page to learn more about the allergens contained in the recipe.
All pricing shown on our website does not include taxes. The tax will be calculated upon checkout and is dependent on the shipping address (if applicable), as determined by the CRA. For example, if your billing address is in Alberta, but you are sending an order through our online shop as a gift to someone in B.C., you will be charged 5% HST and 7% PST.
