Position Details
Role Title: Packaging Associate
Base Location: Sherwood Park
Department: Packaging
Reports To: Operations Manager (temp)
Role Overview
The Packaging Associate is responsible for completing the timely and accurate packaging of various chocolate products in accordance with product specifications.
Key Accountabilities
- Packaging all products in line with specifications.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of Work Orders in the ERP system in accordance with internal processes.
- Reporting any deviations or errors to the Operations Manager
Responsibilities & Deliverables
Daily
- Ensuring the timely and accurate packaging of all products in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
- Create packaging work orders in the ERP System.
- Review, validate and close out completed packaging work orders in the ERP system.
- Put away packaged products in accordance with SOP - Storage Procedure.
- Complete daily cleaning procedure.
- Use various packaging equipment (flow-wrapper, sealing machines, label printers, automated hoppers, etc.) to complete packaging activities.
Weekly
- Assist in the cycle counting of select items per the Cycle Count Procedure and schedule.
- Assist in bonbon count and merge per the Bonbon Management Procedure.
Candidate Requirements
- Manage time-effectively and is a self-starter to get all tasks completed.
- Possess impeccable attention to detail.
- Have strong work ethic & speed.
- Have high standards for cleanliness and adhere to our food safety program.
- Must enjoy repetitive tasks, and always looking for ways to improve quality and efficiency.
- Must be able to be on their feet for long periods of time.
- Be able to lift 40lbs.
- Must be good with computer systems (ERP)
Seasonal Position Details
- Starts in September until December 2024, with the possibility of extension.
- Shift options are:
- 8am-4pm from Monday to Friday
- 8am-4pm from Tuesday to Saturday
- 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week.
